Various jobs and activities have natural risks built in that need to be addressed. In these cases, it may be required or advised that staff or participants take one or more safety course. The following is a look at some of these courses and the risks they address:
Instructor Training - Earn additional income. Risk / Safety Managers or those interested in teaching Safety skills will benefit from this course. Health Coach Plus is your resource for instructor skills, curriculum and supplies.
CPR - or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation is an attempt to manually restore breathing and circulation where it has stopped. It is an appropriate response in many situations such as drowning, smoke inhalation, drug overdose, post seizures, traumatic injury, heart attack, stroke, heat stroke, diabetic coma, infant SIDS, shock, and many other circumstances. Where a risk exists for any or similar circumstances, or if medical care is more than 3 minutes away from a facility, it is a wise, and often required skill. The CPR skill levels taught by Health Coach Plus includes child and infant CPR, adult CPR, BLS for Health Care Providers.
First Aid - An appropriate medical response to situations (accidents or illness) impacting human health. An effective First Aid program addresses the skills, supplies, and prevention of possible situations pertinent to an environment.
Blood Borne Pathogens / HIV - Infection control of diseases associated with, and transferred through exposure to blood. This course addresses the potential hazards of blood exposure, prevention, and containment of contamination in an environment.
AED - Automated External Defibrillation. Learn to use the AED to handle advanced cardiac situations, such as heart attacks. Prerequisite: CPR. Need an AED? We supply them too.
